I’ve always loved drinking smoothies. It’s a quick way to get nutrition and the energy I need to get through the day.
Sometimes the thought of sitting down to eat a meal, or to chew, just feels daunting and unnecessary. I’m sure I’m not the only one. You clicked on this, so I’m sure you’re curious about pre-made smoothies too. Like, is that possible?
Every week, I would labor over dicing up a mango, pineapple, bananas, and throw in a handful of spinach. Not to mention the cost for that produce, and the waste of rotten fruit if I didn’t have enough energy to make my morning smoothie. Sound familiar?
When I started seeing advertisements for Daily Harvest, I didn’t understand why anyone would pay to have a pre-made smoothie delivered to them when they could just do it themselves.
But once I started working from home, I realized that I wasn’t eating during the day. I didn’t have a snack drawer next to my desk, I don’t keep my kitchen stocked with treats, and no longer was there a Starbucks across the street that I could stop at for a quick bite.
So I signed up for Daily Harvest’s “Get 3 Free Smoothies”, as advertised. The box came on Thursday afternoon with dry ice to keep the smoothies cold.
I’m almost a year into my subscription of six cups per week (they make more than just smoothies), and I really, really love it.
Daily Harvest smoothies come PRE-MADE. They are sealed and frozen. ALL YOU DO IS ADD LIQUID AND BLEND. They’re vegan and healthy. I hate to be so salesy but it really is just that easy.
Best Smoothies from Daily Harvest
- Bananas and Greens (it’s not toooo green)
- Strawberry and Peach (filling and fruity)
- Almond Cold Brew (tasty coffee milk shake!)
This is how Daily Harvest Smoothies arrive: pre-cut, ready to blend!
Daily Harvest also offers a bunch of other pre-made frozen goodies like Overnight Oats, Harvest Bowls, Lattes, and Soups. I really like their Overnight Oats (Mulberry + Dragonfruit and Pumpkin + Chai), Chaga + Chocolate latte, and the Butternut Squash + Chimichurri Harvest Bowl.
Some days I have a Daily Harvest smoothie for breakfast… a Butternut Squash Harvest Bowl for lunch… and a Latte for dinner. Yikes.
I’d say… if you can afford this luxury, give it a try. Their subscription service lets you easily select what you want in your box, skip weeks, cancel, etc. I’ve never had a problem with boxes not arriving or anything at all, come to think of it. Every interaction I’ve had with Daily Harvest has been really good, and I really love their smoothies.
