One thing I’ve always loved about Taylor Swift’s songwriting is her ability to use humor in her lyrics. Though this isn’t an exhaustive list (it’s a compilation from a recent threads post), you can see how Taylor’s sarcasm creates comedy, often breaking the metaphorical wall to speak directly to the listener (But Daddy I Love Him, We Are Never Getting Back Together). Taylor Swift’s lyrics are full of themes of tragedy, depression, and one of her favorite recurring themes: murder. Please enjoy a few of my favorite unhinged Taylor Swift lyrics.
Lyrics are organized by album and date of most recent release.
